My own story is similar to many. I grew up with a loose grasp of who God was. In my early teens I made a lot of poor choices. I tried to hide what I was going through, but I continued to struggle. I discovered the saving grace of Jesus Christ at the age of 23 and life changed dramatically.

The only thing is, even Christians struggle! I had found freedom in Jesus, but I still had a lot of the same behaviors. Thankfully, God continues to heal me, change me and turn me into the woman he called me to be. My path has not been a straight one, but I believe that my life experiences shape me into a better counselor, a better wife and mother and a better friend. I am so thankful for the grace of God.
